Well there would be anchorable structures that would burn heavy Water to produce CPU or Liquid Ozone to produce Power. Rate of produced asset/consumed fuel could be little poorer than tower's present ratio.

Lag. Lag neve changes. Every once and a while CCP upgrades its hardware and software. This leads reduced amount of lag -but! As hardware improvers, more people come to node and server is as stressed and laggy as before.
